2006 Softball GLVC Players of the Week

Player of the Week
Bellarmine University senior first baseman Lindsey Stelnicki is Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week after leading the Knights to a 3-0 slate.
Stelnicki, a part-time starter this season, led Bellarmine to three wins in their final outings of the season, snapping a six-game losing streak. In the first game against the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Stelnicki hit a two-out walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to give the Knights a 5-4 win. In the second game, she again drove in the game-winning run, ripping a two-out single to left, driving in two in the third frame of a 4-2 victory. On Sunday, she continued her torrid run with two more singles. Stelnicki closed out her 2006 season batting .319, after coming into this season with a career .191 average.
The Sylvania, Ohio, native hit .667, tallying six hits, three RBI and one run.

She hurled a three-hitter at Quincy in a 6-1 win on Saturday, and she came back and pitched 1 1/3 innings in the nightcap as NKU pulled off the sweep with a 4-3 victory.
