GLVC Names Winter and Spring Scholar-Athletes

INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has selected ten student-athletes as Scholar-Athlete of the Year in their respective sports for the 2007-08 season. Bellarmine’s Brooks Herrick and Katie Hickey, Drury’s Molly Carter and Chris Ijames, Missouri S&T’s Jordan Henry, Northern Kentucky’s Stephanie Isaacs, Rockhurst’s Garrett Fischer, Southern Indiana’s Kathy Wood and UIndy’s Kristi Piepenbrink and Seth Paul have been honored for their athletic and academic achievements this past academic year.
Four Selected in MLB First-Year Player Draft

LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - Four Great Lakes Valley Conference baseball players were selected in last week's Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Northern Kentucky's Jake Shaffer, UIndy's Brandon Braboy, Rockhurst's Ryan Morgan and Southern Indiana's Jeremy Kehrt each had their names called by major league clubs on Friday.
Over 1,200 Student-Athletes Announced as Academic All-GLVC

INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has announced the 2007-08 Academic All-GLVC Team. 1,285 student-athletes from the league's 14-member institutions were honored after meeting the academic requirements set by the league for the 2007-08 academic year.
